Sports & Leisure

Sports and Leisure facilities must constantly anticipate and respond to change in customer demand and expectations – they can’t stand still. Our company helps Directors and Executives by improving the environment; by making existing spaces work better; by creating more space; and by developing areas and facilities that people love. We work with Swimming-pools, Gyms, Libraries, and Theatres and have the know-how to get spaces working for you and your customers. We understand that speedy, flexible and cost-effective completion is the only way that makes commercial sense and work hard to manage the impressions of your staff and customers throughout and works.

Case Study

Dunes Leisure Centre, Southport

Conversion of existing offices into changing/shower area

Opportunity: Dunes Leisure Centre comprises swimming pools for the general public and a gymnasium for members. As gymnasium membership grew, it put pressure upon the shared changing facilities, causing inconvenience and frustration for all customers of the centre.

Activity: Davies was brought in to re-model the existing facilities and provide separate male and female changing facilities for gymnasium members.

Results: Gymnasium members have own changing facilities instead of sharing with the general public using the swimming baths, allowing for increased gym membership and improved customer satisfaction all round

Case Study

Red Rose Caravan Site, Formby

To create four additional pitches within the existing caravan site

Opportunity: Red Rose Caravan Site is a popular destination for travellers and over time the site became overcrowded, putting pressure upon the space and services available to the travelling community.

Activity: Davies was engaged to create four additional pitches complete with road infrastructure, service blocks and an upgrade to the children’s play area.

Results: The travelling community is now provided with adequate services to accommodate the numbers of visitors to the site and the local authority has satisfied its legal duty to provide sufficient accommodation and services for travellers.
