Charlotte House, Southport

Modernisation of existing 3-storey office block

Opportunity: The owners of Charlotte House in Southport sought to develop two floors of vacant office space within the building in order to make it more attractive to potential business tenants. The existing space was not fit for purpose.

Activity: Davies completely refurbished two floors of office space, completing internal and external structural works, decorations, new windows, improved toilet facilities, facilitating incoming services and creating DDA (Disabled Disability Act) access to the building.

Results: Royal Bank of Scotland (RBS) relocated to Charlotte House occupying both floors from which to conduct its corporate banking activities, and generating long-term rent for the owners of the building.

Princes Street, Southport

Conversion of former 1920s Art Deco building

Opportunity: A leading Southport Architect (RAL) purchased a large building, previously used as a children’s play centre, to relocate their busy and growing practise. On purchase, the vacant space was unfit for purpose.

Activity: Davies created two floors of bright, modern office accommodation with the ground floor made-up of individual offices, supported by data and broadband services, and the upper floor becoming an open-plan office space, toilets, meeting rooms and a company library.

Results: RAL are now enjoying comfortable and attractive premises that reflect the brand and permit them to grow.
